Doncaster manager Sean O'Driscoll has allowed striker Darren Byfield to join League One outfit Oldham on a one-month loan deal.
The 32-year-old moved to the Keepmoat Stadium in the summer after he was released by Bristol City but has struggled to make an impact for the club..
Byfield has slipped down the pecking order behind Jason Price, Gareth Taylor, Lewis Guy, James Hayter and Paul Heffernan with his first-team opportunities limited in recent weeks.
The veteran forward will remain at Boundary Park until December 13 but will not be eligible for the FA Cup.
