Kevin O'Connor has retained the Brentford captaincy for the new season.

Boss Uwe Rosler rotated the responsibility during pre-season, with Jonathan Douglas and Richard Lee both wearing the armband at some stage but Rosler has decided to stick with the 29-year-old O'Connor, who is now entering his thirteenth season with the Bees.

"Kev did a good job last year and everyone is behind him. We all need to push in the right direction," Rosler told Staines News.

"We want to try and get Brentford up the league and to the next level."

Goalkeeper Lee and midfielder Douglas have both been named as vice-captains.
