Carlisle striker Richard Offiong is in contention for a return to the starting line-up against Leyton Orient.

Offiong, recently recovered from a knee injury, stepped off the substitutes' bench at Exeter in midweek and fired a stoppage-time winner.

Fellow striker Scott Dobie will sit out the second match of his three-game ban, but manager Greg Abbott has no new injury or suspension problems.

Skipper Paul Thirlwell appears to have put his Achilles injury behind him, while fellow midfielder Marc Bridge-Wilkinson is hoping to feature after sitting on the bench for the last two matches.

Long-term absentees David Raven (hip), Andy Cook (foot) and Gavin Rothery (double hernia) all remain sidelined.

Carlisle, who have lost only one of their last eight league games, are 11 points adrift of the play-offs.

Orient should be unchanged for the trip.

The Os picked up a surprise 1-0 victory at third-placed Charlton on Monday night, their second straight win, and boss Geraint Williams will not want to disrupt a winning side.

Williams has a full-strength squad to choose from after centre-half Ben Chorley returned from suspension at The Valley.

Defender Luke Ashworth suffered a cut head playing for the reserves in midweek but will be fine to take his place on the bench if required.

Striker Adrian Patulea staked his claim for a place in the squad with a goal in the second-string game against QPR.

Jonathan Tehoue, James Scowcroft, JJ Melligan and Jimmy Smith were also involved to keep up their fitness.
