Leyton Orient midfielder Adam Chambers hopes the new year will bring an end to nine months of injury misery.
Chambers has made just seven appearances since March after being hit with calf, back and ankle injuries but he managed 90 minutes for the reserves this week to put himself back in the frame for Saturday's clash with MK Dons.
"I've had an injury-hit season so far so it was good to get 90 minutes under my belt," said Chambers. "It's been frustrating and there have been a few niggles but, touch wood, this time I can come back properly."
He added: "I just want to get some training sessions under my belt, play some reserve games and do my best when I get any minutes with the first team."
