Frank Nouble could return to the Charlton squad for the London derby against Leyton Orient.

The on-loan West Ham striker missed Tuesday night's defeat at Rochdale with an ankle injury but hopes to be fit.

Nouble may be a straight swap for Joe Anyinsah in attack after the former Carlisle forward picked up an ankle knock at Spotland.

Paul Benson and Liverpool loanee Nathan Ecclestone are manager Chris Powell`s other options to partner 20-goal frontman Bradley Wright-Phillips.

Powell will be tempted to make changes after admitting the midweek reverse had ended any hopes they had of making the play-offs.

Winger Johnnie Jackson (Achilles) and defender Kelly Youga (knee) remain sidelined while rookie full-back Carl Jenkinson is likely to be overlooked again after turning down a new contract.

Leyton Orient are sweating on key men Stephen Dawson, Ben Chorley and Charlie Daniels ahead of the clash.

Skipper Dawson hobbled out of last weekend's 5-1 defeat by Yeovil with a dead leg and was replaced in midfield by Jimmy Smith.

He will be handed a late fitness test along with centre-half Chorley, who has a thigh problem, and left-back Daniels who missed out against the Glovers with an ankle injury.

To add to manager Russell Slade's problems, midfielder Matthew Spring starts a three-match ban after Orient's appeal against his red card last Saturday was rejected.

But on-loan Tottenham winger Paul-Jose Mpoku will be back in the squad after returning from international duty with Belgium's Under-19s.
