Sam Sodje returns to the Charlton squad for the visit of Tranmere.
The centre-half has completed a four-match suspension and could be pitched straight back into the starting line-up following Monday night's disappointing home defeat by Leyton Orient.
Boss Phil Parkinson has ruled out making major changes following that setback but winger Scott Wagstaff is pushing hard for a start, possibly at the expense of Jonjo Shelvey who struggled to make an impact against Orient.
Kelly Youga is still missing with a knee injury so Grant Basey keeps his place at left-back.
Striker David Mooney has extended his loan deal from Reading until the end of the season and should partner 12-goal top scorer Deon Burton in attack again.
Ian Goodison is available for Tranmere having recovered from a knock sustained in midweek.
The centre-back picked up the problem during Tuesday's 2-1 home win over Yeovil - which lifted Rovers to within three points of safety - but battled on to complete the game and has made a speedy recovery.
Goodison's availability means manager Les Parry has no new injury or suspension concerns ahead of the trip to The Valley.
Striker Bas Savage is gradually working his way back towards full fitness after a 10-month lay-off with a ruptured Achilles tendon.
Tranmere travel to London in high hopes after their midweek success and they will be desperate to improve an away record that shows just one win all season.
But they will come up against a Charlton side who have lost at home just once all term, although that did come on Monday as Leyton Orient claimed an impressive 1-0 success.
