Huddersfield manager Lee Clark hopes to add another player to his squad this week and two more in time for the start of the new season.
Clark, who has brought in Antony Kay, Peter Clarke, Robbie Simpson, Lee Peltier and Theo Robinson already this summer, has also publicly praised chairman Dean Hoyle for his backing.
The Terriers boss told the club's official website: "Potentially we could have a few more arrivals before the start of the season."
He added: "In an ideal world I want competition in every position, but whether that happens I don't know.
"What I will say is that I've been given unbelievable backing by Dean Hoyle to bring in the players I have so far and I've been given the green light to get the players I'm after now and that's terrific."
Clark added: "Potentially we could have one by the end of the week, but these things do take time. If it doesn't happen for one reason or another, I would be more than happy to go into the season with the squad I've got."
