Huddersfield are mounting a serious challenge for promotion from the Third Division with nine wins from their last 11 games. Two goals from Danny Schofield helped Huddersfield on their way against fellow promotion hopefuls Yeovil in midweek and afterwards givemefootball's Lawrie Madden caught up with him to get his views on the game - and the rest of the season.

Q:A GOOD WIN AGAINST YEOVIL, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE?

A:Not sure about me because in the first half I was not involved but came into it in the second half and got a couple of goals which helped seal the three points. I was pleased with the one-on-one with their keeper and the way I took the chance.

Q:WITH OTHER GAMES CALLED OFF IT WAS A GOOD OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE UP SOME GROUND ON YOUR RIVALS?

A:Yes, it was a massive win. Yeovil are a good team and pass the ball for fun and beat us at their place 3-1. If you don't get tight and compete they will pass their way around you. We worked hard and kept it tight except near the end when we started to drop a bit deep and they started to come into the game.

Q:WHAT ARE THE STRENGTHS OF THIS HUDDERSFIELD SIDE?

A:We give 110 per cent every time. Not many of the players make headlines but they all work for the team in training and on the field. Everyone knows their job and we get on with it and it can be seen by recent results. We work hard but try and pass the ball when we get the opportunity.

Q:WHAT'S THE TARGET NOW?

A:Initially, we wanted to get to the play-offs but the gaffer has told us to lift our sights and go for an automatic promotion spot. We have won nine out of the last 11 so we have given ourselves a chance and we play Oxford on Saturday which is a massive game. We have won our last four away games and drawn one so we are in good form going there.

Q:JON STEAD DOESN'T APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN MISSED SINCE HE LEFT TO GO TO BLACKBURN?

A:Jon is a quality player as he has shown by scoring goals in the Premiership. Any team would miss a player like him but we have other good players who have done well like Pawel Abbott who has come in on loan from Preston and scored three times in three games.

Q:WHAT'S THE KEY TO THE RUN YOU'VE BEEN ON?

A:We have a young side that has a lot of belief and we are very fit. I know some people don't believe that you can win things with youngsters but they said that about Manchester United and they won the European Cup.

Q:WHAT WOULD PROMOTION MEAN TO THE CLUB?

A:It would be massive to the club especially after relegation last season and going into administration. It would mean a lot for me as well as I have been here quite a while now and I have got to the play-offs before but not quite made it further.
