Grant Holt is back doing what he does best...scoring goals. Norwich City’s summer signing from Shrewsbury is now starting to find his form for his new club and has chipped in with six goals from 12 games.

Givemefootball’s Lawrie Madden caught up with Canaries striker Holt, who has played in every game so far ahead of the game against league leaders Leeds United.

Q: You must be pleased with the way you’ve recovered from a poor start?

A: It was a disappointing start to the season. The opening day defeat of 7-1 against Colchester was not acceptable and that was not a good start to the season but we have worked hard and at the moment we are in a good run of form. We apologised to the fans and know that it was not good enough.

Q: What’s Paul Lambert like to work with?

A: The manager expects you to work hard because if you don’t he will drop you and not play you so you know what he wants. He wants the team to be organised and everyone knows their jobs.

Q: You didn’t manage to score on your debut for a change?

A: Well when you lose 7-1 on the opening day there wasn’t many chances for a striker but we know that we have players who are good going forward and can create and score goals. That sometimes leaves us a bit open at the back which we are aware of and need to get both ends right.

Q: How big a test is the Leeds game?

A: It’s another game but they are a big club with a big crowd which I think will suit us. We like to attack and they score lots of goals so it could be an entertaining game.

Q: Do you see it as a shoot-out between you and Jermaine Beckford?

A: We are different strikers to be fair. He is much quicker than me but I am probably more physical than him but hopefully on the night I will score.
