Leyton Orient boss Geraint Williams was full of praise for his side following the 5-0 drubbing of Bristol Rovers.
Goals from Stephen Purches, Ryan Jarvis, Jason Demetriou, Jonathan Tehoue and an own goal from Rovers goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen, who had to receive lengthy treatment just before half-time, completed the rout.
Williams said: "It's all down to the players. The second half on Saturday was excellent (Orient came from 2-0 down at Carlisle to earn a draw), and we were talking about putting that in for 90 minutes and the players did that."
He added: "At 1-0 we were thinking we should be two or three up and when we got to five there could have been a lot more. It's all down to a lot of hard work. We have a very honest group of players here."
Elsewhere, manager Chris Hutchings believes 10-man Walsall more than deserved their point following the 1-1 draw against Charlton.
Troy Deeney opened the scoring by heading in his 10th goal of the season but the Addicks levelled via a Deon Burton penalty despite home defender Jamie Vincent appearing to get the ball with a tackle on Akpo Sodje in the 45th minute.
Hutchings said: "We deserved a point. It was disappointing to concede the equaliser just before half-time to what was a very dubious decision for the penalty."
Carlisle boss Greg Abbott was left fuming by Colchester's winner as he felt Kayode Odejayi was in an offside position when he scored the decisive goal in a 2-1 win.
Abbott's men opened the scoring via an Ian Harte header after 24 minutes before the Us hit back through Clive Platt shortly after the hour mark. However, Colchester sealed the points when Ian Henderson crossed for substitute Odejayi to score with a neat volley.
Abbott said: "Our performance was big and I thought the referee's and linesman's was not. I would like the referee to say he got the offside decision wrong because that cost us."
