Stockport boss Jim Gannon watched his side ease to a 3-0 victory over Crewe, then dismissed speculation linking him to the vacant manager's job at the Alexandra Stadium.
Dario Gradi is currently in caretaker charge of the League One strugglers after Steve Holland was relieved of his duties in midweek, but the veteran boss has made it clear his appointment is only a short-term measure.
However, Gannon, who ended his playing career at Crewe, said: "I am very committed to Stockport. I haven't renewed my contract, but I am happy to stay on my existing one-year rolling deal."
He added: "I've asked a lot of people to commit to Stockport and I hold a great responsibility to these people so I'm enjoying myself here and hopefully I can carry on enjoying it."
The Hatters boss preferred to focus on his team's impressive display.
"We weathered their early storm and took control and I'm delighted with the way we played," he added. "It was a great team performance."
