Charlton striker Andy Gray has completed his switch to Barnsley for an undisclosed fee.
The 31-year-old initially headed to Oakwell on loan on Friday in order to play in Saturday's defeat by Leicester and has now sealed a permanent move.
Addicks boss Phil Parkinson is on the look-out for a new striker to replace Gray, who cost £1.5million when he joined from Burnley in January 2008.
"Obviously with Andy his wages were far too high for what we can pay in this division and probably in the Championship, so it was a good move for us but as a manager you look purely at the squad and we'll need to replace him with another striker," said Parkinson.
"Other than Deon Burton we haven't really got another target man in the building, but over the course of the season we're going to need one."
