Leeds manager Simon Grayson has handed a trial to Argentinian defender Walter Garcia.

Garcia, who left Major League Soccer side New York Red Bulls earlier this season, will appear in a behind-closed-doors friendly with Middlesbrough.

Grayson said: "Walter is a player we have been made aware of. He's been training with us and will pay in the game against Middlesbrough."

Central defender Rui Marques is also scheduled to appear in what will be his first taste of competitive action since August.

Marques, who has made only six first-team appearances this season, has been sidelined with an Achilles injury.
