Veteran Hartlepool midfielder Nolberto Solano is set for a spell in the treatment room after suffering a hamstring injury in the 3-0 defeat at Notts County.

The 36-year-old sustained the problem in the second half of Sunday's disappointing showing at Meadow Lane and was replaced by James Poole. It is the second time the former Newcastle winger has suffered such an injury this season after a similar problem ruled him out for three weeks in August.

Boss Mick Wadsworth told the club's official website: "It looks like he's done his hamstring again which is real poor luck for us. But it gives an opportunity for somebody else to come into the team and we have the chance to make some changes. There are people who are wanting to come into the line-up and now we will consider what options we have."
