Midfielder Danny Hollands wants to stay at Bournemouth after their play-off semi-final defeat to Huddersfield.

The former Chelsea reserve-team captain is out of contract this summer but hopes to be offered a new deal by manager Lee Bradbury.

He told the Bournemouth Echo: "I'm like anyone else out of contract. We have talks with the manager and they will come back with an offer for me I hope."

Hollands, who made 42 appearances for the Cherries this season as they lost on penalties at the Galpharm Stadium on Wednesday night, has enjoyed a five-year spell at the south coast club and hopes the squad can stay together in order to have another go at promotion next season.

"We were so unlucky not to finish the job, but I hope we can stay together and have another go next season," he said.
