Millwall defender Danny Senda has rejected reports that he has been released by the club and hopes he will be playing his trade at the New Den next season.
Despite appearing on a "not to be retained" list of 10 players on the club's official website, the out-of-contract full-back says that he has spoken to the club about a potential new deal.
Although the 28-year-old fans' favourite has been injured for a year with a knee injury - missing the entirety of the Lions' season - Senda is confident he can return to full fitness to help his club's push for promotion next term.
"I have had a one-to-one talk with the gaffer, who basically said if I can walk back into the football club fit and ready to go for the new season - then we will work something out," Senda told the Southwark News.
"I am grateful that I have got the opportunity to come back in after the summer and, if I am fit, I know I am good enough at this level and have a shout of getting back in to the set-up here."
