Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins is giving leading scorer Gary Hooper as much time as possible to prove his fitness ahead of Sunday's play-off final.
The 21-year-old striker has not trained this week as he battles against the groin injury that forced him to miss last Friday's semi-final win over the MK Dons, but Adkins is sure the 30-goal striker will do everything in his power to make himself available for the clash with Millwall at Wembley.
"Gary has not been able to get out on the training field again yet," Adkins told the Scunthorpe Telegraph. "But he is working very closely with the physio on his rehab. There is still a long time to go between now and Sunday and we will give him, and everyone else, every chance to prove their fitness."
He added: "I am sure they will all want to declare themselves fit for this one."
