James Quinn turned hero against Hull when he fired in a Wednesday winner with almost the last kick of the game to push the Owls into the play-offs. But Quinn was a villain earlier when he handled to give a penalty away. Givemefootball's Lawrie Madden caught up with the striker who moved to Wednesday earlier in the season from Holland.

Q:RELIEVED TO BE IN THE PLAY-OFFS?

A:Yes, especially as I gave away the penalty earlier. It's a huge relief and this club needs it because it's such a massive club and it's far bigger than I thought when I came here. You know 1,000 fans went over to watch the reserves play Manchester United this week and there were only 3,000 in total.

Q:SEVEN GAMES WITHOUT A WIN AND THEN YOU GO AND BEAT PROMOTED HULL - HOW COME?

A:Well, the manager changed our preparation on Friday. He took us into the countryside and we had a pub lunch and a glass of wine with our meal. We hadn't won in seven games and everyone was getting a bit edgy, but we had such a good laugh. It was a masterstroke because on the day of the game it was surreal because I didn't feel like I was going to play a football match.

Q:HOW HAVE YOU FOUND THE MOVE AFTER COMING BACK FROM HOLLAND?

A:It has been massive for me. I didn't think that it would be but I didn't realise how much I had got into the total Dutch way of thinking, especially the way they play. I got caught out initially and have had to adjust since I came back.

Q:ARE YOU SURPRISED HOW WELL PSV HAVE DONE THIS SEASON, ESPECIALLY IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE?

A:Yes and no. They have over-achieved but they have some fantastic players. My last game was against them and although we lost 1-0 we didn't get a touch of the ball. They are very strong and they pass the ball at such a high tempo.

Q:HOW WILL YOU APPROACH YOUR GAME AT THE WEEKEND AS YOU ARE ALREADY IN THE PLAY-OFFS?

A:We wil go out to win it because the manager wants the second leg of the play-offs at home and if we win this weekend then we will be at home. We could be playing any one of five teams but on our day we can beat anyone.

Q:WILL IT MAKE IT MORE DIFFICULT BECAUSE YOU ARE 'THE' BIG CLUB?

A:There is a lot of pressure at a club like Wednesday. We are a big club and will be the biggest club in the League One play-offs and all eyes will be on us. But that comes with being a professional and we have a group of players here where it's water of a duck's back.

Q:HAVE YOU MADE THE PLAY-OFFS BEFORE?

A:Yes, twice - and lost both times. The first time with Blackpool we led 2-0 after the first game and lost 3-0 in the second game, and I lost also at West Brom so hopefully it will be third time lucky.

Q:WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO YOU, PERSONALLY?

A:I have not been in either a promotion team or a relegation team during my career and I am now in my 30s, so time is running out. I would love desperately to say I was in a promotion team, especially at a club like Wednesday - and I know we would take a massive following.
