Cheltenham director Simon Keswick has resigned from the club`s board with immediate effect for business and personal reasons.

Keswick has been on the Robins board for four years and chairman Paul Baker paid tribute to his impact at Whaddon Road.

He told the club`s official website: "Simon has made a significant investment in the club."

He added: "This has helped us to achieve promotion to League One, to retain that status and to build the fantastic new Carlsberg Stand.

"The club has also benefited from Simon`s connectivity and business acumen.

"We are delighted that he has really enjoyed his association and involvement with the club and if his business commitments in the future allow it, we shall be delighted to welcome him back."
