Norwich manager Paul Lambert was pleased to see his side stretch their recent impressive run to nine wins in 10 matches in all competitions with a 2-0 home win over Tranmere.
Wes Hoolahan hit a penalty on the hour mark and Gary Doherty doubled the lead from close range.
"I said before the game that it was going to be tough and it was and I'm delighted we managed to keep the run going," said Lambert.
"I've had plenty of penalty decisions like that go against me so I'll take it when one goes our way.
"Expectation levels are high now with 25,000 people coming along expecting to see us win, which I don't think has happened here for quite some time. But the players rose to the challenge and sent them home happy.
"I'm delighted with all the players because it wasn't easy out there with the way Tranmere played and the fact that the weather wasn't great."
