Oldham have fined an unnamed player two weeks' wages and have "severely censured" two others following a team night out.

It has been reported that members of the playing and coaching staff from the Coca-Cola League One club were involved in a fight at the Belle Vue dog track on March 3. Oldham have denied those claims but admitted they were disappointed by some of the behaviour which was captured on CCTV.

A statement from Oldham read: "From the evidence that the club has gathered it is apparent that reports carried in the media have been exaggerated."

The statement continued: "There is no evidence to suggest that any player or staff member was involved in fighting, however the directors were disappointed with some of the behaviour during what was an official club function.

"The outcome of the investigation, after taking legal advice, is that one player has been fined the maximum amount of two weeks' wages and two others have been severely censured and warned as to their future conduct."
