Marcos Painter can’t wait to make his home debut for Brighton after enjoying an undefeated start on the road.

The Swansea loanee will spend the remainder of the campaign with the Seagulls and he has seen a win and a draw in his first two appearances for the club.

However, the visit of Millwall promises to be a spicy affair and one that Painter is relishing.

He told www.seagulls.co.uk: “A number of the lads are technically very good and I’ve been impressed with the standard.

“I’m surprised that the club are in the position they are in with the quality in the squad but that’s one of those things. We’re in that position and we have to do something about it. It will be good to get back to the Withdean and start playing the football we know we can play.

“Millwall are always a tough nut to crack but we’ve definitely got the quality in the team to get a result against them so hopefully we’ll do that. I’m really looking forward to my home debut and I’ve got a lot of my family coming to watch. It’s a big game for us so I’m looking forward to it.”

Exeter City

Exeter City boss Paul Tisdale insists he keeps a level head when problems arise on the pitch and that approach is paying dividends as the Grecians battle to avoid the drop.

The League One new boys have found the going tough this season and conceded a last minute goal against Carlisle in midweek that cost them a valuable point.

But Tisdale – who had previously enjoyed two consecutive promotions – is determined to remain unflappable. He told BBC Radio Devon: "In those moments when you're most cross, the best advice is to do as little as possible. The biggest mistake is to rip into the players.

"If you berate the players or you're too critical then I'll feel great again ten minutes later because I've vented my fury, but it takes me two weeks to gain their trust again. The players feel just as disappointed as I do, they're not coming off the pitch ready to go home; they're devastated as well.

"By the time we arrived for training the atmosphere was fantastic. Everyone's positive and energetic and ready to go again on the next game."
