Phil Parkinson is sent to the stands after losing his cool following a controversial penalty awarded to
Carlisle in their 3-1 win over Charlton.
He said: “We were beaten by a debatable penalty and two fantastic finishes. I was annoyed and lost my cool which is not good. The referee said there was a push but he almost had his mind made up before the ball came into the box.”
SHOCK OF THE WEEKEND
Russell Slade dismissed by Brighton
Russell Slade is no longer manager of
Brighton and Hove Albion after just eight months at the helm. He saved Albion from the drop last season after arriving in March but a close season spending spree expectations were high at the Withdean Stadium. However, Saturday’s 3-3 draw with
Hartlepool left them just one place above the drop zone and chairman Tony Bloom relieved him of his duties.
