Leeds defender Jason Crowe requires surgery on a troublesome ankle and has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

The 31-year-old, a free summer signing from Northampton, has been struggling with the problem since February.

Leeds manager Simon Grayson said: "Jason is going in for a minor operation on Friday. It's a clean-up more than anything, but it means he won't be available again now this season."

Crowe, who has made 27 appearances in his first season for Leeds, last started in the 2-1 home defeat to Walsall in February and has featured only twice off the substitutes' bench since.
