Tranmere manager Les Parry accepted the 4-1 home defeat against Leeds gracefully and acknowledged that his side were second best throughout.

Robert Snodgrass's free-kick and Jermaine Beckford's penalty gave the promotion contenders a two-goal advantage. However, John Welsh narrowed the deficit before Luciano Becchio's header and another Beckford strike ensured Leeds claimed an emphatic win.

Parry said: "There were not many good points for us. It was a particularly poor first-half performance - a comedy of errors. We gave away poor goals."

He added: "We were a bit better in the second half but never looked like winning. The lads are down and the staff are down but we are good at dealing with setbacks."

Millwall assistant boss Joe Gallen believed his side more than deserved their 3-1 win at Carlisle.

A brace from Steve Morison and an injury time strike from Danny Schofield gave the Lions three points while Carlisle skipper Danny Livesey fired a consolation goal.

"I don't think the result was in any doubt and we fully deserved our win," said Gallen, who was also full of praise for Morison's clever lobbed opener. "It was a terrific goal. Steve supplied an intelligent and instinctive finish and it set us on our way."

MK Dons assistant boss Karl Robinson described their 2-1 home win over Swindon as "our most complete performance of the season".

The Dons were in command following first-half goals from Aaron Wilbraham and James Tunnicliffe before Daniel Ward netted a late consolation for the luckless Robins, who hit the woodwork three times.

Robinson said: "It was possibly our most complete performance of the season because our shape was excellent and we got the result. At times when the defending wasn't good, the luck was on our side thankfully."
