Substitute Ben Marshall tapped in a late leveller to earn a deserved point for Carlisle from a 1-1 draw with Huddersfield.

The on-loan Blackburn man diverted Richard Keogh's cross into the net from close range after 83 minutes before United survived a late barrage to hold on for a point.

Anthony Pilkington and Gary Roberts went closest for Huddersfield in a spell of almost constant pressure which ultimately failed to pay off.

Pilkington had earlier rose the highest in a crowd of players to head home his fifth goal of the season from a Roberts cross.

But apart from that, the Terriers rarely troubled the visitors until the final 10 minutes.

United's Danny Livesey hit the bar early on from a Graham Cavanagh free-kick while Matty Robson had a goal ruled out for offside.

Darryl Duffy's header from another Cavanagh free-kick flashed just over before the break while Kevan Hurst also shot wide when Town defender Dean Heffernan slipped in the box.
