Norwich have signed Peterborough right-back Russell Martin on loan until January.

Martin passed a medical on Wednesday and is in the squad to travel to Southend on Saturday.

On the move, he told the club's official website: "The main thing is, it is such a big club that when I knew they were interested it was a major factor in me wanting to join."

He added: "Also I worked with Paul (Lambert), Ian (Culverhouse) and Gary (Karsa) at Wycombe and really enjoyed my time there."

The 23-year-old, who is eligible to play in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, will stay with the Canaries until January 4.
