MK Dons skipper Dean Lewington has signed a new contract to tie him to the club until the summer of 2013.
The 25-year-old left-back has been with the Dons since their formation and has made over 300 appearances on his way to becoming a huge fan favourite.
He told the club's official website: "Being part of this club's long-term plans is all I've ever been interested in so I'm delighted it's been finalised."
He added: "This is the club I've been with since I was a boy, it's my club and I love it so I couldn't be happier.
"The gaffer is laying real long-term foundations here and the club has huge ambitions."
