Hearts captain Robbie Neilson is on the brink of joining Leicester, PA Sport understands.

The 28-year-old right-back, who is the Tynecastle club's longest serving player, has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Foxes, who won Coca-Cola League One this season.

Neilson joined Hearts from Rangers almost 13 years ago and was handed the captaincy when Christophe Berra left to join Wolves in January.

Manager Csaba Laszlo had hoped to persuade the defender to sign a new contract with the Edinburgh club.

But Sunday's final Clydesdale Bank Premier League game of the season at Celtic is set to be his last appearance.
