Nigel Pearson is set to have the honour of being the first manager to lead out an England side at the new Wembley Stadium. With Stuart Pearce temporarily relinquishing his role as manager of the Under-21s for the visit of their Italian counterparts on March 24, his assistant is in line to take charge of the first match to be played at the £800million stadium.Pearson, whose only previous managerial experience comes from a brief spell in charge of Carlisle and as caretaker at West Brom earlier this season, is an unlikely figurehead for what promises to be an historic occasion for the national side´s new home.
