Norwich chief executive David McNally admitted Tony Fernandes is unlikely to become involved with the club.

The Canaries are on the look out for possible investment and the Malaysian businessman, team principal at Lotus' Formula One team, seemed interested after attending last month's victory over Southend.

"It was his first time at Carrow Road and he absolutely loved the experience and the drama," said McNally at Tuesday evening's open fans' forum. "I don't think Tony will be involved in that process because he's quite busy with his Formula One team and his business. He's quite rightly very distracted by his other ventures and focusing on his current business."

McNally added: "That's not to say something may happen in the future or not. We would love some kind of marketing tie-up between Lotus and Norwich City Football Club."

Meanwhile, Norwich's reserves will not compete in the Totesport.com Combination League next season and a series of friendlies will be played instead.
