Oldham boss Dave Penney is still without a number of players when his side host rivals Tranmere.
Defender Kelvin Lomax is facing a month on the sidelines after undergoing a hernia operation.
Striker Lewis Alessandra and midfield duo Jon Worthington and Andy Holdsworth remain absent through injury but are edging closer to a recovery.
On-loan Blackburn midfielder Alex Marrow is available after a head injury reduced him to the role of unused substitute in Oldham's last outing against Hartlepool on January 2.
Defender Reuben Hazell missed the 2-1 defeat at Victoria Park through suspension but is available again.
Winger Chris Taylor and striker Pawel Abbott are pushing for starting roles following their return to full fitness. Meanwhile, Latics chief executive Alan Hardy has returned to work after undergoing surgery six weeks ago.
Tranmere boss Les Parry is still without the services of striker Bas Savage.
Savage has not been involved in any first-team action since suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon at Leeds last April.
However, the former Millwall frontman played in a practice match on Saturday and is steadily moving towards full fitness.
Savage is the only player unavailable to Parry, who has been told that some funds will be made available to recruit new signings.
Parry said: "It's not a great deal of money and we are going to have to be careful we spend it wisely by getting the right person in.
"But at least we are not now waiting on telephone calls from other clubs to take our players."
