Oldham have seen striker Daniel Nardiello ruled out of action ahead of the home clash with fellow strugglers Wycombe.

The Blackpool forward, who recently joined on loan until the end of the season, succumbed to a hamstring injury in Tuesday's 2-0 home win over Leyton Orient and was replaced after 58 minutes.

He is expected to be out for around 10 days, forcing boss Dave Penney to consider the prospect of going back into the transfer market for another loan signing.

However, Penney could at least be boosted by the return of several players after injury.

Dean Furman (knee), Keigan Parker (groin) and Ryan Brooke (hamstring) all have chances of featuring.

However, on-loan midfielder Jim Goodwin looks certain to miss out following the recurrence of a thigh injury.

Wycombe boss Gary Waddock will welcome back veteran midfielder Gareth Ainsworth for the clash.

The former QPR man has missed the last three games through suspension after he was sent off against Millwall last month but he could come straight into the side.

Forward Stuart Beavon is also pushing for a start after impressing as a substitute against Carlisle last weekend as Waddock looks for goals.

Defender Leon Johnson remains sidelined as he battles to recover from a hip injury and midfielders Lewwis Spence (knee) and Ian Westlake (knee) also remain out.

The Chairboys have not won in three games to slip seven points adrift of safety at the foot of League One and need a victory at Boundary Park - where they last won in March 2004.
