Leyton Orient's second-half fight back earned them a deserved 2-2 draw after Carlisle had allowed a comfortable two-goal lead to slip at Brunton Park.
Carlisle looked to have established a safe advantage with goals by Joe Anyinsah, his ninth of the season, and defender Ian Harte.
However, the visitors were a different side after the break and after Ryan Jarvis had fired them back into the game, the striker also had a hand in the equaliser when his header was deflected past his own keeper by Carlisle defender, Danny Livesey.
Carlisle's lively start bore fruit in the 14th minute when Evan Horwood poked the ball through to Anyinsah who turned cleverly past two defenders before coolly slipping the ball wide of keeper Jamie Jones' left hand from 10 yards.
Orient had to play second fiddle for much of the first half. Anyinsah had proved a handful for the visitors' rear guard, but there was a blow for Carlisle after 39 minutes when the striker limped off injured to be replaced by substitute Richard Offiong.
The change did not disrupt the Cumbrians as an attacking force and after Jones had produced a fine save to keep out Gary Madine's close-range flick, Offiong won a corner on the left.
Matty Robson swung the kick into the box and Harte was unmarked as he nodded the ball just inside the right-hand post for his 10th goal of the season.
Orient pulled a goal back in the 58th minute when James Scowcroft's shot from the edge of the area was blocked and the ball spun up to Jarvis who swivelled and blasted the ball high into the net from 12 yards giving keeper Adam Collin no chance with the power of the shot.
Orient's comeback continued in the 77th minute when Jarvis got his head to a cross from the right and Livesey, in trying to clear merely succeeded in heading the ball back past his own keeper into the net.
Livesey redeemed himself latte on with a goal-line clearance when Nicky Adams looked to have grabbed all three points for Orient.
