Leyton Orient boss Geraint Williams has warned his side that League One will be tougher than ever next year.

The O’s flirted with the drop this season, until the arrival of Williams lifted them to safety. The manager has since warned that next season will be just as tough for the London club.

Orient only have 13 players signed on contract for next season at present and Williams is looking to bolster his squad.

"There will be a lot of teams fighting it out for a top six place, that's for sure," he told the Ilford Recorder.

"Nothing has changed, but we are identifying players we want and are talking to agents.

“Looking at some of the sides we will be playing next season, they are going to have bigger budgets, but it's up to us to get the best players possible on the money we have.

"We have a list of targets and we will work our way down until we get the best players we can afford.”
