Leyton Orient have revealed they are holding discussions with a consortium of investors.
The consortium, headed by Terry Byrne, are in talks with current owner and chairman Barry Hearn with a view to the ownership of the League One side changing hands.
Kevin Nugent, appointed caretaker manager following the recent sacking of Martin Ling, will remain in charge of the side in the interim period.
A club statement said: "Talks are ongoing and it is hoped that an announcement that will be made in the near future over the ownership and football management of the football club."
