Phil Parkinson praised the professionalism of his Charlton side as they cruised to a 2-0 win at Hartlepool.
Two first-half goals in quick succession from Deon Burton and Nicky Bailey set up the win for the Addicks on their first vist to Victoria Park, and Parkinson's side now has maximum points from their first two league games.
"I thought it was a comfortable victory for us, pleasing to come to here and win because it is a tough test - it's a real indicator of football in this division," said Parkinson.
"I was very pleased the performance, we showed a lot of professionalism, commitment and the quality we needed. It was very, very windy but we dealt with the conditions well.
"The big plus for me was the professionalism of the team - we looked solid and that was important. We have to come to places like this and win if we are to achieve our aim this season of promotion."
