Phil Parkinson is hoping his Charlton side can continue to show their battling qualities after they rescued a 2-2 draw against Swindon despite being down to nine men by half-time.

Miguel Angel Llera rescued a point for the Addicks in the 94th minute after Sam Sodje and Deon Burton had received their marching orders.

A relieved Parkinson said: "We could do with a boring 1-0 win in the next game considering in our last match we drew 4-4 with Millwall and finished here with nine players."

He continued: "We're really down to the bare bones for Monday so it's time to roll our sleeves up and give that extra 10-15% against Brentford.

"This is another challenge thrown at us and we're going to meet it head on."
