Carlisle manager Greg Abbott has boosted his ailing strikeforce by signing Millwall's Jason Price on loan until the end of the season.

The Cumbrians were without Darryl Duffy, on loan from Bristol Rovers, for last week's home defeat to Millwall due to a groin injury, while fellow striker Scott Dobie was forced off inside the first five minutes with a similar problem.

Abbott, also without Andy Cook (foot), said: "We need someone who is proven at this level at the moment and Jason fits that bill. This is a good chance for him to come here and prove himself and to enjoy himself as well."

Abbott added: "He'll join us on Friday and we're all looking forward to working with him here at the club."

Price, 32, began his career at Swansea and includes Brentford, Tranmere, Hull and Doncaster among his previous clubs.
