Grzegorz Rasiak will leave Southampton in the next few days if he can agree a switch to an unnamed club.
Saints have accepted two bids from clubs in England for the Polish striker, who is one of the higher earners at St Mary's, but Rasiak has turned one move down.
"We have had two bids for him," confirmed manager Alan Pardew. "He spoke to one club and didn't like them, so maybe he'll like the next one."
Pardew may still be able to bring in some more new faces, especially after Graeme Murty suffered a serious injury against Birmingham on Tuesday night.
"I still want to try and bring in a couple of players if I can," he added.
