Swindon have completed the signing of Togo international striker Thomas Dossevi on a free transfer following his impressive trial with the club.

The 31-year-old has signed a one-year deal at the County Ground after manager Danny Wilson was left more than pleased with what he had seen from the France-born forward during his short stint in Wiltshire.

Dossevi shone during training with the Robins and duly grabbed a brace in just 45 minutes during Saturday's 3-2 friendly triumph over Nottingham Forest.

He moves to Swindon having seen his contract at French club Nantes expire and will wear the number 20 shirt vacated by Billy Paynter's switch to Leeds.

Dossevi featured at the 2006 World Cup for Togo and was also a member of their squad for the 2010 African Nations Cup, a tournament which the country withdrew from following a fatal attack on their team coach just days before the start of the competition.
