Manager Danny Wilson remains convinced Sheehan's straight red was not warranted for his challenge on Scott McGleish early in the second half

Swindon have opted not to appeal against Alan Sheehan's dismissal in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Leyton Orient.

Manager Danny Wilson remains convinced Sheehan's straight red was not warranted for his challenge on Scott McGleish early in the second half.

But having listened to the powers that be after they briefly looked at a DVD of the incident, Wilson has taken their advice and feels an appeal would ultimately be unsuccessful and could lead to a further game added to his three-match ban if it is deemed to be frivolous.

A similar fate led to midfielder Jonathan Douglas serving an extra game ban this time last season.
