Andy Robinson has signed a new one-year contract with Tranmere.

The attacking midfielder, 31, rejoined Rovers in January and made 15 appearances for Les Parry's side.

He had previously spent the last month of the 2009-10 season at Tranmere after beginning his professional career at Prenton Park.

"I'm delighted to be able to keep a player of Andy's calibre at the club," said Rovers boss Parry. "It's not every day that you're able to attract players of his ability and I'm really looking forward to having the whole season with him."

Robinson added: "I really enjoyed being back here last season and I can't wait to get going again. There's a decent squad here and hopefully we can get off to a good start and have a strong season."

Robinson also spent time at Swansea and Leeds and has made almost 300 career appearances, scoring 62 goals.
