Uwe Rosler has confirmed he has held talks with Brentford over their managerial vacancy but nothing has yet been agreed.
The former Manchester City striker, 42, is one of the bookmakers' favourites for the Griffin Park position. Rosler is currently based in Manchester after a six-year management spell in Norway.
He told the Hounslow Chronicle: "I don't want to go into too much detail but I have been in contact with Brentford."
He added: "We are in permanent dialogue and I'm keen to manage in England.
"Both parties are interested with working with each other but nothing is agreed so far."
Brentford are looking for a new boss having decided not to take Nicky Forster on a permanent basis after he held the reins between March and the end of the season following the sacking of Andy Scott.
