Bristol Rovers have agreed to sign Charlton striker Chris Dickson on a three-month loan deal.

The 24-year-old has struggled to break into the first team at Charlton and was widely expected to join Gillingham for whom he scored 11 goals in a 14-game loan spell two years ago.

But the former Dulwich Hamlet man has opted to move to the Memorial Ground subject to the relevant paperwork being signed.

Dickson is seen as a direct replacement for Rickie Lambert, who left the club to join Southampton last month.
