Walsall cashed in on bad defending to record an emphatic 3-1 victory at Yeovil.

In the sixth minute Yeovil's defence missed a right wing cross from Steve Jones and Darren Byfield was left unmarked to head his sixth goal of the season.

More hesitancy at the back gave Troy Deeney the opportunity to set up Jones for the second goal on 19 minutes but Yeovil began to attack.

They were rewarded on 29 minutes when skipper Craig Alcock set up Jon Obika to score from close range and Yeovil continued to press throughout the second half.

However, Walsall had the last word in a breakaway attack when Sam Parkin, just on as substitute, got through the defence to tap in at keeper Alex McCarthy's right hand post.
