Southampton have confirmed they have released defender Lee Molyneux.
The 21-year-old former Everton trainee, who joined the Saints in January 2009 after leaving the Toffees, had one-year left to run on his contract but this has been terminated by mutual consent.
Molyneux, who only made four first-team appearances for the St Mary's side, spent the concluding months of last season on loan at Port Vale.
