Chesterfield manager John Sheridan has been hit with a touchline ban and a fine by the Football Association after admitting a charge of misconduct.

Sheridan was guilty of using language and/or behaviour amounting to improper conduct during Chesterfield`s League One game against Charlton at The Valley on September 24.

After attending a personal hearing, Sheridan was given a two-match suspension and a £2,000 fine. He will miss Notts County`s visit to the B2net Stadium on Saturday and next weekend`s home game against Hartlepool.
