Southend ensured their passage into the fourth-round of the FA Cup after they defeated fellow Coca-Cola Championship strugglers Barnsley 2-0 at Oakwell.Kevin Maher´s stunning 25-yard strike gave the Shrimpers the early lead and, although the Tykes huffed and puffed, Lee Bradbury´s second-half strike knocked the wind out of them.Southend, who memorably knocked Manchester United out of the League Cup earlier this season, will now play the winner of Wenesday night´s match between Tottenham and Cardiff.
