Tranmere midfielder Chris Shuker will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on his broken arm.

The 26-year-old suffered the injury in a freak accident at home last week and required surgery to pin the bone back in place.

"It's been pinned and plated and Chris will be out for 13 weeks," boss Ronnie Moore told the Daily Post. "It's crazy - he fell at home and went over on his arm. Players are only human. These things happen."

Shuker has made 35 appearances this season and will be missed by Rovers as they look to secure a play-off spot.
